GET INVOLVED
Reading Theater Project exists because people show up for us on stage, backstage, behind a laptop, and in the audience. Whatever your skills, interests, or amount of free time, there’s a place for you in this community. Below are some of the ways you can get involved.

AUDITIONS
Auditions
Our stages are built on the artists who bring scripts to life. We welcome performers of all backgrounds and experience levels.
- Audition notices are posted here and on our social channels ahead of each production.
- RTP does not maintain a formal, standing audition process. Instead, we post casting calls and audition opportunities on our website and social media as they arise.
- Auditions can include include a cold read, prepared monologue, and/or callback process for reference.
- No prior experience with us is required. We’re looking for curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to explore.

VOLUNTEER
Volunteering
Every production runs on volunteer hours building sets, ushering, running concessions, managing front of house, and a dozen other jobs that make a performance possible. Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to become part of our community, no experience necessary.
Ways to volunteer include:
- Set construction and painting
- Costume and prop support
- House management and ushering
- Box office and front-of-house support
- Event setup for fundraisers and special performances

ARTIST DIRECTORY
Artist Directory
We maintain a directory of local artists: actors, directors, designers, stage managers, musicians, and more. And we actively seek those who are interested in future opportunities with Reading Theater Project. Joining the directory doesn’t guarantee casting or hiring, but it helps us get to know the artistic community around us and reach out when opportunities arise.
