GET INVOLVED

Reading Theater Project exists because people show up for us on stage, backstage, behind a laptop, and in the audience. Whatever your skills, interests, or amount of free time, there’s a place for you in this community. Below are some of the ways you can get involved.

AUDITIONS

Auditions

Our stages are built on the artists who bring scripts to life. We welcome performers of all backgrounds and experience levels.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteering

Every production runs on volunteer hours building sets, ushering, running concessions, managing front of house, and a dozen other jobs that make a performance possible. Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to become part of our community, no experience necessary.

Ways to volunteer include:

Leadership Board

Our Leadership Board provides strategic direction and stewardship for Reading Theater Project as an organization for guiding our mission, sustainability, and long-term growth. Board members bring a mix of artistic, business, and community expertise to help guide our decisions.

We periodically welcome new board members who share our commitment to community-driven, accessible theater.

Board President: Amy Heichel

Interested participants should contact jreppert@readingtheaterproject.org

Creative Board

The Creative Board helps shape our artistic vision from season planning to production values to the kinds of stories we choose to tell. This is a space for working artists and creative leaders who want a hand in the bigger-picture direction of our work.

Interested participants should contact jreppert@readingtheaterproject.org

Marketing & Communications Committee

This committee helps tell our story to the wider community through social media, email, press, photography, and design. If you have a background (or interest) in marketing, writing, graphic design, photography, or videography, this is a hands-on way to support the organization using your skills.

Marketing Chair: Daphnee McMaster

Interested participants should contact jreppert@readingtheaterproject.org

Development & Fundraising Committee

This committee helps sustain the organization by building relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners, and by organizing fundraising events throughout the season. If you enjoy relationship-building, event planning, or nonprofit development work, we’d love your help.

Development & Fundraising Chair: Mark Wennersten

Interested participants should contact jreppert@readingtheaterproject.org

Audience & Volunteer Committee

This committee focuses on the experience of the people who show up for us, both audiences and volunteers alike. From front-of-house experience to volunteer recruitment and appreciation, this committee helps make sure everyone who experiences RTP’s work feels welcome.

ARTIST DIRECTORY

Artist Directory

We maintain a directory of local artists: actors, directors, designers, stage managers, musicians, and more. And we actively seek those who are interested in future opportunities with Reading Theater Project. Joining the directory doesn’t guarantee casting or hiring, but it helps us get to know the artistic community around us and reach out when opportunities arise.
