Spooky Stacks Story Slam: A Terrifying Story Telling – Open Mic

Wednesday, October 21 · 7:00–9:00 p.m.
The Velvet Spine – 508 Penn Avenue – West Reading

Reading Theater Project invites you to a unique fundraising event this Halloween season: a late-night bookstore opening paired with a live story slam!

Come for an evening of ghost stories told by you, the audience. The theme is spooky: eerie coincidences, haunted houses, nights you’ll never forget, and moments that raise the hair on the back of your neck.  Storytellers take to the mic for five minutes each. A ghastly panel will reward the best fable with something found in the chest beneath the cobwebs.

All proceeds support Reading Theater Project’s programming, with a fundraising goal of $1,500 for the evening.

We’d love to see you there! Whether you’re looking to support the arts, connect with fellow community members, or simply enjoy a night of spooky storytelling.
