Seeking Stage Managers!

Reading Theater Project is currently seeking submissions from non-union stage managers and assistant stage managers for our upcoming events and productions.

In collaboration with the Artistic Director, the Production Manager, and the production Director, duties include the following:

— Communicates the needs of the production between cast, crew, and RTP leadership, including rehearsal schedule and reports

— Assist in managing casting calls and auditions for performers

— Leading production meetings with members of the creative team

— Recording blocking and technical cues for the production

— Running rehearsals and performances; Supervising pre-show activities (technical check, safety check)

— Training assistant stage managers and run crew to work backstage during performances

— Collaborating with house management team during run of show

— Works with Production Manager to develop and execute tech week and strike plans.

Productions may include site-specific/outdoor full productions, our annual fringe festival, play readings and workshops, and fully produced productions of original works. Stipend commensurate on experience.
